A message from the north

They can call it whatever they want.
We'll keep calling it Lake Ontario.

For generations, it's been part of our cities, summers, shorelines and home. We're not looking for a new name.

Always Lake Ontario.

Wear the name.

For anyone who thinks Lake Ontario already has a perfectly good name.

Not Lake America.

Never was.

So… why Always Lake Ontario?

Because apparently this needed to be said.

Lake Ontario has had its name for a long time, and we're pretty happy with it.

Always Lake Ontario started with a simple idea: make something Canadians could wear that says what most of us were already thinking.

No complicated manifesto. No international incident. Just a lake with a perfectly good name.

Always has been. Always will be.

People wearing the name.

Wore the navy cap to a marina in Whitby and got three compliments before I made it off the dock.

Heavyweight crewneck, no scratchy print, and it says the thing. My father-in-law asked where to buy one.

Bought it as a joke gift. My brother now wears it more than anything else he owns.

Good questions.

Still curious? Write to us at hello@lakeontarioalways.ca — a real person in Ontario answers.

Is this an actual political statement?
No. It's a lake with a name we happen to like. We just put it on a hat.
Where do you ship?
Everywhere in Canada, plus the US and most of the world. Canadian orders ship within 2–3 business days and typically arrive within a week.
How do the sizes run?
True to size with a relaxed shoulder. If you're between sizes, take the smaller one.
Who makes the garments?
Blanks are sourced from mills we've worn ourselves, then printed and embroidered in Ontario.
